I love the depth and insight of this piece. Thank you Rachel for writing so beautifully about this. I am a 5/1 and have the deepest respect for learning. I have learned quite a bit here about Richard and Ra and fragments, which was both fascinating, and I'll share a bit troubling as well.
What I heard was the beauty of our uniqueness. Ra "downloaded" HD... Richard experienced it and "downloaded" an evolution... you (as I read below) "downloaded" another aspect.
as the Japanese saying goes - "I am the center of my universe"... So, for me, the bias toward 6 lines was subtle, but definitive.
And, I would applaud that, if, it were presented as that. When things, for me are presented as fact, rather than opinion, it changes everything.
What I read here masculine vs feminine... was what I read in every newspaper worldwide... not inviting the open mind, soft heart Richard teaches -
When we all see that we believe we are the good guys and anyone who doesn't agree with us is a bad guy... and all of us are wrong... none of us are the good guys as long as we promote the concept of good guy/bad guy..
Kim...first of all thank you so much for reading and sharing your own transmission around this. I'm surprised and humbled that this article even reached so many people. And you may be surprised to hear that in my life the folks I have collaborated the best and most frequently with are Line 5s.
I had the privilege of being part of a court jury once, and to my astonishment, no two witnesses' recollection of a car crash were the same. It's not something I am fully able to grasp, but all I know is that what I present when I write are my facts, and certainly not Universal Truths. They are filtered through my lens of experiences and level of consciousness in the moment.
It's been two years since this article was written, and if I were to write it today it would land so differently. And there's a chance I won't even write anything about this today, as this is probably not the right question to ask: "What's the difference...". Let each one feel and use and explore each transmission and modality as they feel called to. Better to hold space for all as part of our integration :).

Yes, coming from a family of attorneys I am aware that no two people witness an event same way. We all see through our own filter, experiences and wounding- and the beliefs we cling to. Even if we discover they are wrong. My chart - in both HD and GK is one of leadership- and to be totally honest- I have a lot of work to do- with whatever years I have left. My journey is humility and courage . Many days I lack both.

Thank you Rachel - that was a very refreshing read. I read those energies in a similar vein and the way Richard has opened up the trinity of each hexagram through the Shadow, Gift and Siddhi has opened access to the knowledge in a way that Ra did not. I have heard that Ra told Richard he would filter the teachings through a spiritual aspect... and indeed it appears that Richard needed to bring a lighter outlook to the system which he has done very successfully and I fully appreciate the courage it took to open those portals.
You also raise a very keen point - that Richard has spent his life moving through many different systems and teachings and those who come to the gene keys perhaps have not had the same expansive journey Richard had. What I feel is left out of the GK's teachings is a core aspect of the HD message which is that of Strategy & Authority. Richard hinted at this being related to the Core Wound in a Gene Keys webinar I once attended when I posed the question and although he pays respect to Ra I have never heard him really endorse this part of the teaching which was likely a major part of his own deconditioning journey and which he has journaled about in detail I believe when he was running HD in the UK.
What I would love to see more from Richard are contemplations on the deeper aspects of the knowledge as most of his latest offerings over these past years have been to net those "new to the Gene Keys" crowd leaving many who have entered left with nowhere to really orient and "progress". What has emerged over the past few years are the Guides which has always felt like a false path in light of Richard's earliest videos where he clearly espoused that he did not want to go in that direction.
I believe initially - there were Ambassadors who felt much closer to Richard’s earlier frequency. The Guides have a commercial aspect to them that have brought all sorts of copyright and other energetic laws that have the double-edged blade of actually restricting the organic energy that was primarily building. I would add that the Gene Keys has felt a little more business-motivated these past years and that free spirit of the younger long-haired Richard in those earlier videos that had nothing to prove no longer comes across as carefree as he once was - making more recommendations and more product referrals in his videos and appearances.
It could be argued that it is a personal journey and this is stated often, however I do feel that the Gene Keys missed a turn back there not channeling a supportive place for the energy of those moving through the system to pool together in a nurturing environment. The first time I came to the Gene Keys I was sure there might be a job board or something similar that brought this new frequency into the the old world structures to support those who were left with this new perspective. It felt like a natural progression for the gene keys to begin building a support structure for the new to practically emerge based upon the Transmission. I do think they do some charity work but I am not sure how related it is to supporting those within the community itself. I have often heard Richard talk about putting a roof on his metaphorical cathedral, although I do have a preference for an the image of the stars…
And this is the first I have heard of Discovery and Purpose Fragments etc... and will read more - currently they feel closely related to the fractal aspects of the HD teachings...
Yes this would be the first and likely only place since it was brought forth as a transmission by myself and friends and really only documented here. It happened before I was introduced to GK and HD, so later when I found out about the Lines and Gates I was quite shocked that those corresponded to the fragments we had been working with.
Rusty thank you for the sharing, and I really enjoy hearing about your journey with the Gene Keys and how you’ve seen it progress. I have been with it for a comparably shorter time than yourself and have yet to be able to get “into” the community. For me the transmission runs gently (and powerfully) in the background of my life, as I feel that it urges me to live life fully without consciously focusing on it. Every time I try to carve out time to dive into it with intention, it becomes elusive.
I do feel your comment about it becoming more commercial these days. Organizations do take a life of its own over time for sure. Since I generally only follow the transmissions (and listen to Richard’s content from time to time), I haven’t been privy to as many of the changes to the org.
